Avatar Studios is still hard at work on its sequel animated series, Avatar: Seven Havens. The series will be a direct sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. During the casting call process, Paramount Animation originally gave the series a two-season order totaling 26 episodes, or two “books” as we previously reported. The casting call was also strictly looking for child voice actors to voice the twins, Pavi and Nisha, for all 26 episodes (possibly by the same actress, though that is unknown at this time). Which means the twin Avatars will stay the same age throughout both seasons. This was a disappointment to many fans who had hoped for a timeskip between seasons to age up the Avatar sisters from 9 years old to teenagers (or older), as The Legend of Korra and The Dragon Prince have done.

Now, according to a rumor, the studio is apparently planning two additional seasons after it’s confirmed two, totaling four, like Korra. While the report has yet to be confirmed, it makes sense given that the Paramount-Skydance merger was completed earlier this year. The merger actually began greenlighting a number of development hell projects at the studio, like the Call of Duty franchise, earlier this week. Or bringing over talent like The Duffer Brothers from Netflix to begin working on feature films. As they move to build their brand with this new influx of money. While this has yet to be confirmed by the studio, it may give credence to a possible timeskip with our two Avatar twins, as many fans hope, though, that’s just speculation. It should be taken as a rumor until further information comes out. It should also be noted that the original two seasons will likely be a self-contained story (the mystery of Avatar Korra’s death), while the next two will feature a brand-new plot. Also, a casting call went out in August for the show we at Knight Edge Media reported on, but we assumed it was for season 2 when it could have been for season 3/4.
Avatar: Seven Havens season 1 is expected to debut sometime in 2027
