Today, we at Knight Edge Media discovered that screenwriter Tim Hedrick has returned to pen The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender animated movie. A small rumor began in 2023 that stage writer Kenneth Lin (House of Cards, Star Trek: Discovery) had been brought on as an early writer (via DanielRPK Patreon), though that was never officially announced. He joins co-directors Lauren Montgomery, William Mata, and Steve Ahn on the film. Hedrick has long been an alum writer at Avatar Studios since the days of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. He worked on several acclaimed episodes in both shows, including “City of Walls and Secrets”, “Lake Laogai”, and “The Western Air Temple”. As well as “New Beginnings Pt 2.”, “The Earth Queen”, and “Venom of the Red Lotus”. He was also a staff writer on 48 episodes of the franchise. As well as helping with several video games and comics. He will also return and serve as a consultant on the Avatar: Seven Havens animated series for Paramount+. Production on the film ended earlier this month, as many artists announced on social media.

The Legend of Aang will debut exclusively on Paramount+ this Fall
