Did 'Avatar: Seven Havens' Cast Newcomer Saheli Khan as Avatar Pavi ?

While Avatar Studios deals with the fallout from the Avatar Aang film leaking online, they are still hard at work developing the next animated series in their universe, Avatar: Seven Havens. Avatar: Seven Havens will be a direct sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. The first image and synopsis were released just last year at San Diego Comic-Con by original creators Bryan Konietzko and Mike DiMartino. Last year, we found out that French animation studio La Chouette Compagnie was working on the series. This was confirmed earlier this week when Bryan Konietzko visited the studio (via Instagram). We also heard the rumor that the show has been greenlit for 2 full seasons of 13 episodes. Two more seasons were rumored to be written at a minimum for a total of four seasons. The show is being showrun by Sehaj Sethi and Ethan Spaulding. While all of these updates have been going on behind the scenes, we still don’t have a voice cast announced for the leads of Avatar Pavi or her airbending companion Jae.

We at Knight Edge Media have been doing a bit of sleuthing to identify the new voice actors on Team Avatar. We previously wrote that stage actor Major Curda could be the voice of Jae in the series, given his appearance on the Braving the Elements podcast and his uncanny resemblance to the character. We now know that another stage actor could have taken the lead voice role of Avatar Pavi, and possibly her twin sister, Nisha.

Newcomer Saheli Khan is a South Asian-American actress and singer who has appeared in multiple national stage productions, including Matilda and Frozen. According to the original casting call for Avatar: Seven Havens, under the working title Aurora, the studio was looking for a South Asian child actress to voice both Pavi and, possibly, her twin sister, Nisha. Khan would have been around 11 years old in 2023, when the casting call first went out. And the voice recording was most likely done sometime in 2024. Khan has also recently begun following fellow voice actress Tania Gunadi (Transformers: Prime), who we already revealed will appear in the series (via Instagram). Finally, according to her bio on Stars Before Dark, she is mentioned as starring in a major upcoming series: “Most recently, Saheli signed with a major network as lead in an upcoming series.” Her Instagram bio was recently updated to include “Untitled lead (2024, 2026)” (via screenshot). However, by the time this was written, that had been taken down. It’s possible the “2026” date is related to the next two seasons previously mentioned. Her manager, Calli Company, also updated their Instagram to confirm her booking last week (via Instagram). When we reached out to Paramount for a comment on this story, they gave us a non-answer that neither confirmed nor denied her casting. Regardless, this should still be considered pure speculation until Avatar Studios reveals the official voice cast sometime this year. Possibly in July at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
