We at Knight Edge Media have exclusively learned that Avatar Studios has three different animated shows in development set in the worlds of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra as of early 2025. They also had three animated films in development, though that is up in the air after Paramount Pictures moved The Legend of Aang to Paramount+. We already know the very first show is the previously announced Avatar: Seven Havens. The show was announced early last year and follows Avatar Pavi and Nisha, as they must discover their secret twin origin and uncover the mystery of what happened to Avatar Korra.

We at Knight Edge Media also learned late last summer that the second show in development, secretly titled Red Thunder and follows two Water Tribe boys. It’s unknown if it’s a previous Avatar, like Avatar Kuruk, but it will most likely be a prequel before the time of Avatar Aang. The casting call for this series stated it was only in the pilot phase of voice recording as of August 2025.

The final show in development is a complete mystery. There was an Airbending insignia on a leaked Avatar Studios slate back in January 2025, though it’s unknown if that show was ever officially developed. It’s also unknown which Avatar from the Air Nation that story could follow, as many fans have suggested, a series based on Avatar Yangchen or something original like the second Avatar after Avatar Wan. But again, it’s unknown what this series could be about. It should be noted that the studio had three films in development, all scrapped for the Avatar Aang film. So, as with everything, these projects are always in flux at the studio.
All three animated shows will stream exclusively on Paramount+
