America Chavez DS2 audition tape

Early this year when director Scott Derrickson was still attached to the project we had heard rumors Marvel was looking to add hero America Chavez to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. They were interested in actress Isabella Moner who had starred in Transformers, Instant Family, and most recently Dora.

Now our friends over at Murphy Multiverse have revealed that open casting is underway for the role of America Chavez in the film. Unknown child actress Lily Resto reads for the part. America Chavez also becomes a member of the Young Avengers in the comics. With members like Kate Bishop, Wiccan, and Hulkling making their appearance in the MCU very soon; a Young Avengers project is looking like the next step for the studio.
