SDCC 24′: ‘Percy Jackson’ Season 2 Adds Daniel Diemer as Tyson

Today, the cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians was present during Hall H of San Deigo Comic-Con. The cast spoke about their time filming season 1 and their anticipation for season 2. Casting has been underway for two major roles, including Tyson and Thalia. During the event, Disney announced that actor Daniel Diemer has joined the cast as Tyson, the half-Cylcops and half-brother of Percy.

The character was originally played by Douglas Smith in the 2013 film Sea of Monsters. Original author Rick Rodarin added, “Daniel Diemer’s enthusiasm and talent bring a whole new dimension to Tyson, and it’s going to be incredible to see him in the second season. I can’t wait for you guys to meet him and welcome him to the Percy Jackson universe.” Production returns to Vancouver this Fall.
