Lucasfilm Secretly Cast Ariana Greenblatt as Young ‘Ahsoka’

Last night, Disney+ released Part 5 of their Star Wars series Ahsoka. The episode found half-dead adult Ahsoka (played by Rosario Dawson) stuck in the World Between Worlds with the spirit of Anakin Skywalker (played once again by Hayden Christensen). The episode features flashbacks to Ahsoka’s time as his Padawan, only seen in The Clone Wars animated series. However, now we finally got to see the scenes in live-action form.

The studio secretly cast Ariana Greenblatt in the role of young teenage Ahsoka. Ariana Greenblatt has been having quite the year already, starring in both 65 and the highly praised Barbie movie. She also appeared in Avengers: Infinity War as young Gamora in 2018. Including young Ahsoka and a cameo by Captain Rex (played by Temuera Morrison) made episode 5 a massive event. Lucasfilm even had limited screenings of the episode nationwide for fans to enjoy on the big screen. However, it is still available on the streaming service if you could not make the screening.
