Karl Urban Enters Final Talks To Join ‘Mortal Kombat 2’ as Johnny Cage

Today, The Wrap announced that actor Karl Urban has entered final talks to join the cast of Mortal Kombat 2. Urban is in talks to star as the actor-turned-martial arts expect Johnny Cage. Urab is best known for his role on The Boys, as well as Lord of the Rings and Star Trek.

Some fans had suggested Ryan Reynolds in the role though he has just begun working on Deadpool 3. The upcoming sequel to the pandemic-era film, Mortal Kombat, is expected to begin filming later this year. Simon McQuoid returns to direct the sequel with a script from Jeremy Slater.
