Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that both Will Ferrell and Emma Mackey have joined the cast for Barbie. The Greta Gerwig (Little Women) helmed film has an ensemble cast including Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, America Ferrera, and Alexandra Shipp. Ferrell is expected to play a CEO mogul based on the CEO of Mattel. It’s unknown who Emma Mackey (Death on the Nile) plays but she has been often referred to as the British Margot Robbie. It’ll be interesting if she will play her sister/twin of Robbie in the actual film. Production is expected to begin later this summer for WB.
