Yesterday, Marvel Studios held a private event to promote the upcoming season of What If on Disney+. The event showcased the first two episodes of the series, which hit the streaming service later this month. The event also confirmed that work has already begun on Season 3. The series was expected to end after Season 3, though Daniel Ritchman revealed on his Patreon the studio could give the show one extra season following its Season 2 reception.

what if season 2 still

The studio also announced an upcoming Black Panther spin-off series titled Eyes of Wakanda. The anthology will follow multiple heroes throughout history that hunt for lost/stolenVibranium:

“Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.”

The series shouldn’t be confused with the Ryan Coogler live-action series that is expected to follow Okoye (Danai Gurira) as the leader of the Dora Milaje. However, it’s unknown if that series has been shelved due to Marvel cutting back on many of their previously rumored Disney+ projects.

Eyes of Wakanda and What If? will stream exclusively on Disney+
