Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that actor Jon Bernthal will return as Frank Castle in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is expected to make his reintroduction into the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series on Disney+. He will reteam with both his Netflix Daredevil co-stars, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, as they return as Matt Murdock and The Kingpin. Murdock will be searching for Castle throughout the Echo series though Bernthal is not expected to appear. Many fans had hoped Castle would make his film debut as The Punisher in the upcoming Thunderbolts film but that remains to be seen.

We at Knight Edge Media heard back in 2020 that Kevin Feige wanted Bernthal, Cox, and D’Onofrio to return to the MCU after their time on Netflix. The report also states that Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson won’t appear in the Daredevil series as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson though they could be reintroduced elsewhere. Daredevil: Born Again begins production this month in New York City.
