Today, Netflix officially announced that The Witcher has been renewed for a fourth season on the streaming network. This news comes only a few months after they finish filming season three, which is rare from the service. However, star Henry Cavill announced he will not be returning for the fourth season as Geralt of Riva. This news is unsurprising considering his recent return to the DC Universe as Superman and a potential sequel to Man of Steel already in the works. The announcement revealed that Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) will take over the role. There is no set production date for season four.
