Today, actors Maxwell Jenkins, Tanner Hagen, and Abby Ryder Fortson all joined the cast of Netflix’s Scooby-Doo: Origins live-action series alongside McKenna Grace. Grace was announced last month for the role of Daphne in this live-action re-imaging. Jenkins is set to star as Fred, Fortson will star as Velma, and Hagen will star as Shaggy. McKenna Grace is the largest star appearing in The Hunger Games and Scream 7 this year. Jenkins appeared in last year’s Arcadian and Netflix’s Lost in Space. Abby Ryder Fortson is best known for the earlier Ant-Man films, but gained critical acclaim with Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. While Tanner Hagen appeared on HBO’s hit series The Pitt. Paul Walter Hauser will appear in the series as Scooby’s original owner before Shaggy (via What’s-on-Netflix ). Production begins next month in Atlanta.
