‘The Legend of Aang’ Has Been Pulled From Theaters For Paramount+

Paramount Pictures has officially pulled The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender from theaters for Paramount+ exclusively.

Today, a report announced that Paramount Pictures has officially pulled The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender from theaters for Paramount+ exclusively. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering the multiple delays the film has had throughout its production. Including bringing on Studio Mir to help finish the movie from Flying Bark animation. Paramount has been in flux since a leadership change post-merger with Skydance, and will now release Avatar Studios content only on its streaming platform, including the Avatar: Seven Havens TV series.

The report also revealed that Taika Waititi (Thor: Love and Thunder), Geraldine Viswanathan (Thunderbolts), Dee Bradley Baker (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Peta Sergeant (Snowfall), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), and Ke Huy Quan (Loki Season 2) have joined the voice cast. They join Eric Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Dionne Quan as Toph, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, and Steven Yeun as Zuko.

The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will stream exclusively on Paramount+ on Oct 9th, 2026
