While the feature-film side of Avatar Studios might be up in the air, their television projects are still moving forward. They are hard at work finishing up Avatar: Seven Havens with a 2-season order (and rumored to be getting more). Now, original Avatar Korra voice actress Janet Varney revealed at SacAnime Con in April that she has begun working behind-the-scenes on an untitled Avatar Studios project as a voice director. It’s unknown what the project could be at this time, as Seven Havens was already announced in February. It should be noted that she has been mentioned multiple times that she won’t return to voice-acting as Korra in any future projects. If fans were hoping she would return.

It’s still lovely to see her stay in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe after co-hosting the Braving the Elements podcast alongside Dante Basco for several years. This may be the Red Thunder (working title) project we reported on at Knight Edge Media in August. A casting call went out for that project, which was still only in the pilot stage at that time. That series looked to be following two waterbending boys on a new adventure, possibly pre-Avatar Aang. While it could still have been Seven Havens (or something completely new), be on the lookout for the project once Avatar Studios officially announces it with Varney.
