Daniel Quinn-Toye Will Star in Amazon’s ‘Voltron’ Live-Action Movie

Today, a report announced that British stage actor Daniel Quinn-Toye has napped the lead in the upcoming Amazon and MGM Voltron live-action movie. It was first announced in 2022 by Red Notice that director Rawson Marshall Thurber who would helm the film, which has a screenplay by Ellen Shanman.

Casting for the male and female roles was done between August and September. Quinn-Toye impressed many and got the lead male role, while the female role has yet to be decided. The original 1980s children’s show centered on five young pilots in a battalion named the Robot Lions, which are vehicles that join together to form a mega-robot known as Voltron. Netflix and Studio Mir rebooted the animated series with Voltron: Legendary Defender in 2016. Production will begin in Australia later this month.
