Rupert Friend Is Next To Join Universal’s ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel

Today, a report revealed that actor Rupert Friend has joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ upcoming untitled Jurassic World sequel. He joined Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey after Glen Powell had passed on the lead role (via The Hollywood Reporter). Friend most recently appeared in Wes Anderson’s Astriod City and on 2022’s Obi-Wan Kenobi for Disney+. Gareth Edwards is set to helm the film from a screenplay by original Jurassic Park writer David Koepp. Production begins later next month in London.
