Scarlett Johansson Enters Talks To Star in the Upcoming ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel

Today, Scarlett Johansson began early talks to star in the upcoming Jurassic World sequel. This comes off the news that Jennifer Lawrence passed on the role. This will be her first major blockbuster franchise to join after her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Widow. She has also been nominated for several Oscars in recent years, including the release of A Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit. It’s unknown if any other actors from the previous films will appear in this new film. Currently, Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, The Creator) is attached to direct the sequel with a screenplay by David Koepp. Production is expected to begin later this year.

Jurassic World 4 is slated to hit theaters on July 2nd, 2025
