This week on the Today Show, actor Patton Oswalt revealed that Marvel Studios will be moving forward with an Eternals sequel. The sequel will see the return of Oscar-nominated director Chloé Zhao once again helming the project. He also briefly mentions we will see more of his character Pip the Troll, alongside Eros the Titan (played by Harry Styles). It’s expected that the original cast would appear in a future Avengers team-up film, though it was unknown if they would ever get a proper sequel.

The remaining cast included Gemma Chan, Angelina Jolie, Barry Keoghan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, and Brian Tyree Henry. The film was not officially announced last month during the Marvel Studios Hall H panel. However, many untitled release dates were announced for Phase 6 alongside Fantastic Four, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Avengers: Secret Wars. The film and several Disney+ shows may be officially announced at the D23 event in September.
