Susan Surandon Replaces Sharon Stone in DC Comics ‘Blue Beetle’

Today, The Wrap announced that Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon will be replacing Sharon Stone in DC Comics upcoming Blue Beetle film. She will play the original character Victoria Kord and CEO of Kord Industries. She will be the former wife of the second Blue Beetle, Ted Kord before the mantle is passed to Jamie Reyes played by Xolo Maridueña. She will join an ensemble Latino cast including Geroge Lopez, Bruna Marquezine, Damián Alcázar, Belissa Escobedo and Harvey Guillén. Production begins later this year with director Angel Manuel Soto.

Blue Beetle hits theaters everywhere on August 18th, 2023
