Netflix Acquires ‘Masters of the Universe’; Kyle Allen Will Star As He-Man

Today, The Wrap announced that Netflix has acquired the long-in-development Masters of the Universe film from Sony Pictures. Late last year attached star Noah Centineo exited the project. The film will now star American Horror Stroy star Kyle Allen in the role of He-Man. The Nee Brothers will still direct the project with a screenplay by co-writer David Callaham (Shang-Chi). Kevin Smith currently has an animated He-Man series on the streaming service; so it makes sense they would go after the film. Production is set to begin later this summer.
