Today, a report has revealed that actor Nicholas Galitzine has been cast as He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe reboot movie. He is best known for his comedic roles in Bottoms and The Idea of You. The film has gone under multiple rewrites as it’s switched from Sony Pictures to Netflix and now, finally, Amazon. Bumblebee director Travis Knight will direct this reboot version, which will have a screenplay by Chris Butler. Noah Centineo and then Kyle Allen were tapped at one point to play the character when the film was at Netflix. While Dolph Lundgren originally played the characters in the 1980s movie. Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner and Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch are producing this version.

Masters of the Universe is slated to hit theaters on June 5th, 2026
