Today, a report announced that screenwriter Jason Fuchs has been tapped to pen a new untitled Transformers movie. Derek Connolly (Godzilla x Kong) was also previously attached to pen the script for a Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover film, following the cameo in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. However, nothing has been mentioned about what happened to this script either. Danny McBride (Halloween 2018) and Max Landis (Chronicle) were both commissioned to write their own takes on the G.I. Joe franchise, though the studio passed on both.
