Today, a report announced that actress Kristen Bell is set to voice Amy Rose in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Bell is best known for playing Veronica Mars in the early 2000’s, but most recently voiced Princess Ana in the Frozen franchise. The character of Amy and Sonic’s future love interest was teased at the end of Sonic 3 after his battle with Shadow the Hedgehog (voiced by Keanu Reeves). The post-credit scene also teased the arrival of Metal Sonic as the next villain alongside Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. Ben Schwartz, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, and Keanu Reeves will all return for the upcoming sequel as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow. Jeff Fowler will also return to write and direct the next installment for Paramount Pictures.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 hits theaters on March 19th, 2027
