Charles Dance Joins’ The Batman: Part 2′ as Christopher Dent

Charles Dance has joined the cast of Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part 2.

Today, a report announced that British actor Charles Dance has joined the cast of Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part 2. Dance is expected to play the role of Christopher Dent, father of Gotham district attorney Harvey Dent. Sebastian Stan was previously announced to co-star as Harvey Dent and Scarlett Johansson as his wife, Gilda Dent. Dance has been known as the evil father figure in recent years, following his roles in The Crown, Game of Thrones, and Frankenstein. Several other actors passed on the role, including Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Stellan Skarsgård, Daniel Craig, and Viggo Mortensen. Production begins later this year.

The Batman: Part 2 hits theaters on October 1st, 2027
