Today, a report announced that Puerto Rican actress Adria Arjona has joined the cast of DC Studios’ Man of Tomorrow sequel. She had been screen testing for the mysterious role over the last several weeks against several highly acclaimed actresses. Other names reading for the role included Eva De Dominici, Sydney Chandler, and Grace Van Patten. The report states that the role was highly coveted throughout Hollywood and is for the DC character Maxima. Others are not so convinced a C-list character would be that sought after, and it’s possible a misdirect.
Arjona has been a fan-favorite for the role of Diana Prince in this new DC Cinematic Universe since Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious) finished playing the role. Though again, there has been no confirmation that Wonder Woman will be in this film. It would also be too ironic to have her appear just as she did in Batman v Superman in 2016 before her own solo film. Production begins later this month in Atlanta.
Man of Tomorrow hits theaters on July 9th, 2027
