Today, a report announced that British actor Aaron Pierre is expected to return for DC Studios’ upcoming Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow. Pierre was long fancast for the role of John Stewart and will debut later this summer on HBO in Lanterns alongside Kyle Chandler as an older Hal Jordan. It’s expected that Jordan will either be killed off or officially retire by the end of the series to set up Stewart as the main Green Lantern. That is just speculation on Hal Jordan’s future with the new DC Universe. David Corenswet returns as Superman alongside Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor as they go up against Lars Eidinger as Brainiac. James Gunn will write and direct the film, with production beginning later this summer in Atlanta.
Man of Tomorrow hits theaters on July 9th, 2027
