Today, Netflix officially announced the full cast of its Assassin’s Creed live-action TV series, as production is finally underway. They have been dropping a few names over the last several months for all unknown roles, as the characters will all be completely original compared to the Ubisoft video games. The streaming service also confirms that the series takes place in Ancient Rome, including the Great Fire of 64 A.D., possibly set by Emperor Nero. A time period untouched by the video games.

The massive cast includes Toby Wallace (Euphoria Season 3), Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing), Zachary Hart (Slow Horses), Laura Marcus (Bad Education), Tanzyn Crawford (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Nabhaan Rizwan (KAOS), Claes Bang (Bad Sisters), Noomi Rapace (Prometheus), Ramzy Bedia (Haunted Minds), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible — Fallout), and Corrado Invernizzi (Ford v. Ferrari). The final cast members include Sandra Guldberg-Kampp (Foundation), Youssef Kerkour (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Mirren Mack (28 Years Later: The Bone Temple), and Louis McCartney (Stranger Things: The First Shadow). Production is underway at Cinecittà Studios, with filming happening throughout Italy until October.
Assassin’s Creed will stream exclusively on Netflix sometime in late 2027
