Director Johan Renck Will Helm Netflix’s ‘Assassin’s Creed’ TV Series

Director Johan Renck has boarded Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed live-action TV series.

Today, a report announced that Swedish director Johan Renck has boarded Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed live-action TV series. It seems he will direct the entire season rather than a standard 2-episode block. Renck is best known for directing episodes of Chernobyl for which he won an Emmy. He also has directed episodes of Vikings, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad on AMC. Netflix also announced that Zachary Hart (Slow Horses) and Laura Marcus (Death by Lightning) have also joined the cast, which already includes Toby Wallace and Lola Petticrew. Roberto Patino and David Wiener serve as showrunners. Production begins next year in Rome.
