Production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day wrapped up earlier this month in Atlanta after spending a few months in Glasgow, UK. During production, a ton of set photos leaked online, and a new plot rumor began circulating by DanielRPK that a sequence was shot featuring ninjas facing off against Spider-Man in a prison. Nobody knew if this was a reference to the criminal organization The Hand or a new set of villains for the film. Now, he has confirmed that the ninjas will indeed be The Hand. Since its canon, the last time The Hand appeared was in Daredevil season 1 & 2 and The Defenders mini-series, both on Netflix. We don’t know who the main villain of the film actually is, aside from a brief appearance by Tombstone. Many hope that Mr. Negative is somehow part of the film, but it has never been corroborated.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated to hit theaters on July 31st, 2026
