Today, a report announced that actor and rapper Marvin Jones III has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He is set to play the crime boss Tombstone from the comics. Ironically, he already voiced the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He joins Michael Mando, who also joined the cast as the villain Scorpion from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Tramell Tillman is also expected to play an unknown villain in the film. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker from the previous films. Production was halted for a week after Holland sustained a mild concussion while performing a stunt on the film (via Variety). Though it won’t hurt the film’s overall release, according to sources.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still slated to hit theaters on July 31st, 2026
