Today, a report announced that director Peter Sohn has taken over as director of Pixar’s Incredibles 3. The sequel was announced last year during the D23 streaming event. Sohn is best known for his work on last year’s widely successful Elemental for Pixar. He also directed The Good Dinosaur in 2015.
Brad Bird directed the first two films when they were released in 2004 and 2018, but will step back from the third film. He is still expected to stay on as the writer. He hand-picked Sohn for the third film after mentoring him on the previous two films, which they worked on together behind the scenes.
