‘Monarch’ Season 2 Begins Production Later This Month in Australia

Today, we at Knight Edge Media have learned that production on the upcoming season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters begins later this month. The highly praised Monsterverse series was originally set between Kong: Skull Island and 2014’s Godzilla, with multiple storylines in both eras. Apple TV+ quickly renewed the series and will begin production on season 2 on July 29th (subject to change) in Queensland, Australia. Production will be filming under the same working title as season 1, Hourglass. Casting is also underway for a new Latino character that will guest star:

[TOMÁS] – Character portrayed is male, late 20’s – early 40’s, Latino. Strong and menacing. Must speak fluent Spanish. GUEST STAR (2 episodes with an option for a 3rd)

Breakout stars Anna Sawai and Ren Watabe are expected to return.
