Today, a report has announced that Apple has begun early development on an Oregon Trail live-action movie. The late 1990s computer game would see players attempt to survive the Oregon Trail as settlers move west but ultimately die in some random way.

a million ways to die in the west still

The film is expected to be an action-comedy, which means we could see many characters die in a multitude of ways, much like 2014’s A Million Ways to Die in the West. Will Speck and Josh Gordon are set to co-direct the film. The Lucas Bros. (Judas and the Black Messiah) and Max Reisman are set to pen the screenplay. Caroline Fraser will produce for HarperCollins Productions.
