Today, Marvel Studios released the final trailer for their upcoming Fox-Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine. The trailer confirmed the return of Laura/X-23, played by an older Dafne Keen. The actress returns as Logan’s long-lost clone daughter, last seen in 2017’s Logan. However, this version of Wolverine (played once again by Hugh Jackman) has never met Laura before, and Old Man Logan, from her reality, is still dead after sacrificing himself to save her. Keen was first rumored to return as Laura following the SAG-AFTRA strikes last summer.

While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actress talks about getting the call to return to character after playing her when she was only 11. “I immediately screamed; I dropped my phone in the bath. I had to put it in rice; it was a whole thing.” She added, “I was a bit freaked out; I was like, ‘I will have forgotten how to play her. She’s not in me anymore. We went straight into this pretty intense scene. I know I was freaking out,” she adds. “As soon as they said, ‘Rolling!’ I really felt like we were back doing Logan. It was like eight years hadn’t passed.” She finally blames Andrew Garfield for lying during the press tours for The Acolyte“All the inspo comes from Andrew Garfield. He is the master at this.”
