RUMOR: Andy Muschietti & Rodo Sayagues Set To Pen ‘Batman: The Brave and The Bold’

Today, a report has revealed that director Andy Muschietti and screenwriter Rodo Sayagues have teamed up to pen the upcoming Batman: The Brave and Bold feature film. Despite many online rumors, Muschietti is still attached to direct the film following the lackluster response to 2023’s The Flash. He joins Sayagues on this new project set in the new DC Universe, separate from The Batman films by Matt Reeves. Sayagues is best known for writing many horror films like 2013’s Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe, and this year’s Alien: Romulus. DC Studios head James Gunn has already revealed that Damian Wayne will make his live-action debut in the film, but who will be Batman is unknown. As in the comics, Damian only becomes Robin when Dick Grayson takes up the mantle of Batman following Bruce Wayne’s apparent death. It could still happen and differentiate this film from all previous Batman films, with Bruce already dead.

UPDATE: James Gunn has since debunked this story on Threads.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold has no set release date
