Today, a report stated that actor Keanu Reeves will be learning his voice to play Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic 3. This comes on the heels of last week’s CinemaCon presentation, where exhibitors were given a first look at the upcoming film. Many rumored names were associated with the character after he was first rumored in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 post-credit scenes. Actors like Robert Pattinson and Hayden Christensen were both linked at one point. However, it looks as if the John Wick actor won the role. Ben Schwartz and Idris Elba return as Sonic and Knuckles. Jeff Flower also returned to direct the third film in his trilogy. Production of the film officially concluded last month.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is slated to hit theaters on December 20th
