Today, Lucasfilm announced that a Mandalorian feature film was in the works at the studio. The original report confirmed that Dave Filoni would help produce the new film. They also mention that Filoni is also hard at work writing a second season of the Ahsoka series. This was assumed after the ending of season 1 in late 2023, though never confirmed. It’s unknown, but the second season is expected to come before Heir to the Empire hits theaters, which is the story’s conclusion involving Grand Admiral Thrawn. Rosario Dawson is expected to return to the title role, though not confirmed yet.
