Lucasfilm Announces ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Movie with Director Jon Favreau

The Mandalorian season 4 will now be adapted into a full-length feature film. The film has been titled The Mandalorian & Grogu by the studio. Series creator Jon Favreau will return to direct the movie. He will also produce the movie alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni (Ahsoka).

Faveru said in a statement, “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.” This joins the previously announced slate of films, including New Jedi Order by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, The First Jedi by James Mangold, and Heir to the Empire by Dave Filoni.
