Today, Daniel Patreon announced on his Patreon that actor Andy Serkis is expected to return in Andor season 2. The fan-favorite character, Kino Loy, was looked up with Cassian Andor in the first season but disappeared after a prison riot. In a recent interview with EW, Serkis teased his return in August by simply stating, “I mean, we don’t see him die. We see him left for a further life of the character.”

At the time, the actor did reveal he has had no official discussions about returning to the character, but that could be due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. No actor could work or sign on new projects while the strike was ongoing. Production was also halted during the strike and is expected to finish sometime in early 2024.

Andor season 2 has no set release date on Disney+
