Netflix Renews ‘One Piece’ For A Second Season

Today, Netflix announced they have officially renewed One Piece for a second season. The series debuted on the streaming service just under two weeks ago to massive success for fans and critics alike. Original manga creator Eiichiro Oda made the announcement on social media. Earlier this week, Tomorrow Studios CEO Marty Adelstein revealed that scripts have already been written for season 2, but production can not begin until the ongoing WGA and SAG strikes conclude in Hollywood. Co-showrunners Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are expected to return for the second season.
