Evan Peters Boards Disney’s ‘Tron: Ares’ As The Main Villain

Today, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that actor Evan Peters has joined the cast of Disney’s Tron: Ares. He will star opposite Jared Leto as they reenter The Grid. The report states they are unsure who the actor will play, but “the script calls for a soldier in the computer world and an awkward gamer in the human world.”

Daniel Ritchman revealed on his Patreon earlier this month that Peters is rumored to replace Cillian Murphy as the film’s villain Ed Dillinger Jr. after the actor had to drop out. Joachim Rønning is set to direct the film as production begins this August in Vancouver.
