Ever since Eternals debuted in theaters in 2021, many fans have wondered how the ending will play out in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following the film’s events, Sersi uses her powers to turn the Celestial, Tiamut, into a stone statue in the middle of the ocean. While part of his body can be seen from space, none of the Phase 4 projects since have even referenced this global phenomenon. However, this event will finally be a central plot point in Captain America: New World Order and could change the MCU forever.

:: Spoilers Ahead ::

According to Daniel Ritchman on Patreon, the world’s countries will be after a metal alloy that lies within the sleeping giant. The metal alloy will be the first introduction of the metal Adamantium into the MCU. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) will need to assemble a new team of heroes to defend against President Ross (Harrison Ford). A separate rumor states that the island body of Tiamat could eventually become the mutant safe haven known as Genosha (previously seen in X-Men: Dark Phoenix), but that is currently just speculation.

A small easter egg in She-Hulk (via GameRant) showed an internet report that “a man with metal claws starts bar room brawl.” Leading many to wonder if Ross will succeed in getting Adamantium and initiating the Weapon X program under William Stryker (previously played by Brain Cox & Danny Huston) before the events of She-Hulk.
