Producer JJ Abrams Set To Reboot ‘Speed Racer’ for Apple TV+

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that JJ Abrams will produce a Speed Racer reboot series for Apple TV+. Under his Bad Robot production banner alongside writer/showrunner Hiram Martinez will find a new take on the classic manga. Hiram Martinez is best known for his time on TNT’s Snowperiecer. A live-action movie was made back in 2008 by The Wachowskis (The Matrix). Apple landed the project a while ago but has been moving at a snail’s pace to get more writers.
