Today, Deadline announced that actress Sydney Sweeney has joined the cast of Madame Web at Sony Pictures. Sweeney has jumped in popularity for her roles in HBO’s Euphoria and White Lotus. Fans have long fancast her in the role of Black Cat opposite Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. However, now that she has joined the Sony-verse it’s unlikely she will ever meet Spider-Man himself. Her role is being kept under wraps alongside co-star Dakota Johnson. S.J Clarkson will helm the film with a screenplay by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.
