Celeste O’Connor Boards Sony Pictures ‘Madame Web’

Today, Variety announced that actress Celeste O’Connor has joined the cast of Sony Pictures Madame Web. She joins the previously announced Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney. She is best known for her co-lead in last year’s hit Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Her character in the upcoming film is being kept under wraps. Madame Web is a clairvoyant whose psychic abilities allow her to see within the Spider-Verse itself. This spin-off will be yet another non-Spider-Man film set within the Sony universe that includes Venom, Morbius, and Kraven the Hunter. Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson will helm the film. Production begins later this year.
