Over the Christmas weekend, our friends from Fellowship of Fans revealed several new casting confirmations for Amazon’s Lord of the Rings TV Series. The site revealed several months ago that Lloyd Owen & Maxim Baldry‘s roles in the streaming were revealed to be Elendil and Isildur. Now their new report states that actress Ema Horvath (What Lies Below, The Gallows Act II) has been cast as an original character Carine, not in Tolkien’s original texts. She will play the sister of Isildur and Anárion, the eventual kings of Gondor & Arnor. Their report states she will try to persuade Isildur from traveling to Middle-Earth from Numenor. As he joins the Numenorean army with his friends Nolion, Valandil, Ontamo. Given that Maxim Baldry (25) and Ema Horvath (27) are so close in age, she may be the middle child. Keeping Isildur the oldest and Anárion the youngest of Elendil’s children, which may upset any Lord of the Rings purists.

Lord of the Rings will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime this September
