Over the last year, the running rumor was that director James Gunn would introduce both Adam Warlock and High Evolutionary into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. The director had long completed the script, so it wasn’t that hard to believe. The director went on to confirm that Will Poulter will play Adam Warlock. The director also confirmed that his Peacemaker star Chukwudi Iwuji would be joining the cast on the first day of filming.

Several news outlets guessed that Chukwudi Iwuji would be playing the film’s main antagonist High Evolutionary. Now The Cosmic Circus has been able to confirm the story. Chukwudi Iwuji will indeed be the film’s main bad guy. Director James Gunn revealed in 2020 that the third film would also look more deeply into Rocket’s backstory on Halfworld. The director is also quick to debunk online rumors on social media. Given he has kept quiet reading this confirmation, it’s easy to assume that it is indeed correct. Production is currently underway in Atlanta.
