Multiple ‘Harry Potter’ TV Series Considered For HBO Max

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Warner Brothers are considering developing multiple HBO Max shows set within the Harry Potter universe. The report doesn’t specify which characters might be considered for the shows. They also mention that no writers have been hired for the projects as they decide which characters to adapt for the streaming service.

We at Knight Edge Media revealed back in September that a Grindelwald series in early development at the streaming service. It was unknown if this would be a solo project or a prequel series. At that time, the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard deformation lawsuits had only hit the public spotlight. Depp would go on to be recast by Mads Mikkelson in the latest Fantastic Beasts film as Grindelwald.
