Warner Brothers Eyeing Alexander Skarsgard as Hawkman in DC’s ‘Black Adam’

Alexander Skarsgard Hawkman Banner1

Earlier today our friends over at The IllumiNerdi revealed that The Stand and Tarzan star Alexander Skarsgard is in the running to play Hawkman in DC Comics Black Adam. We had heard that the Justice Society of America would appear in the anti-hero origin story. With the studio looking for an actor to stand toe-to-toe with star Dwayne Johnson (and Skarsgard is 6’4 compared to Johnson). Some other websites mentioned Ryan Reynolds was in the running but this wasn’t even close to true.

However, we at Knight Edge Media have also Alexander Skarsgard as a potential Carter Hall. It should be noted this version of Hawkman was an Egyptian along with Black Adam. It will be interesting if the studio still decides to go with a caucasian actor in the role of a Middle-Eastern. But then again, it happened on both Smallville and Legends of Tomorrow. Expect Hawkman to be announced at DCFanDome virtual convention this weekend…

Black Adam hits theaters December 22nd, 2021
